CP Magic! News
Crystal Wolfe is the featured artist for the April issue of CP Magic! magazine.
Crystal tells her art story in her own words, including her growing interest in miniature art. Her tutorial is a miniature artwork, though her line drawing can be scaled up in size if you prefer.
The rest of the magazine focuses on miniature art and includes two pages of resources for miniature artwork beginning with supplies and concluding with framing and exhibition information. Every resource includes a link, so you can check them out for yourself.
The April issue is available in digital and print formats.

ACEOs
April was a productive month for ACEOs with 19 completed. That’s almost one a day for the entire month. No, I didn’t draw every day, but there were many days when I did two.
The most productive activity for the month was making an ACEO template, shown below. It was a lot easier drawing small on a full sheet of paper. It was also more fun and very productive.
Below is one of the sheets of finished ACEO sketches. I finished three of these sheets in April, plus a couple of additional ACEOs on another sheet.
If you don’t have a sheet like this for small work, I highly recommend it. You can easily make your own in a good photo editor or publishing software (I used Affinity Publisher). You can also download my sheet here, then print it on drawing paper. I’ve printed it on Bristol Vellum 146 lb. and Stonehenge 98 lb.
That’s the Studio News for April 2026
There isn’t much else to report for April. The month was taken up mostly with publishing work, newsletters, and the more routine activities of housework, cat chores, and taking care of plants. Not bad things, but they do take time.
