Interview
Valérie Brusut loves nature. She also likes to understand how light comes out of shadow, how colors interact, and the many other aspects of the landscape.
But she also enjoys Impressionist art, so although her landscapes are detailed, the detail is balanced by softness and texture, giving it a natural look and feel.
Tutorial
She walks you through her drawing process with a tutorial filled with light streaming through tall pines and casting patterns of light and shadow on the snow-covered ground. While this is an advanced tutorial, her tips for creating atmosphere will help artists at all levels improve their drawing skills, no matter what they most enjoy drawing.

Carrie L. Lewis
Carrie shares tips for better time management born from years of trying to balance family obligations, a sometimes full-time job, other activities, and art. She wasn’t always successful in balancing all of those activities, but her tips helped her improve time management, and she hopes they will help you, too.
