From the Introduction
For most artists who prefer drawing pets or wildlife, the thought of doing a still life is not only unappealing; it can be downright intimidating.
At least that’s how I viewed still life art for many years. There was no question still life art could be stunning, and many are the artists and subjects I’ve admired over the years. But admiration didn’t lead me to try my own hand at a still life for decades.
Even then, it took an email drawing class with a holiday favorite as the class project to entice me to take the plunge.
I enjoyed the process so much and am so satisfied with the results that I’m already thinking about the next still life drawing!
