Here’s a peek.
What’s in CP Magic July 2021
The Featured Artist
Diana is a self-proclaimed hobby artist, but her artwork is anything but hobby art.
She loves drawing native botanicals, as well as architecture, animals, and other objects. She works from her own photographs using colored paper as her background.
Hoppy Poppy Tutorial
Diana’s stunning botanical works on dark and colored papers have become her signature style. Although she’s working small for the first time, she still achieves richness of color and detail. She shows you how she works from start to finish. The tutorial includes links to Diana’s reference photo and line drawing.
New in July
Two new columns make their appearance in the July issue of CP Magic.
Recurring Column: Product Review
By reader request, a product review column is now part of the recurring selection of special columns. Carrie reviews Blick Studio colored pencils in this debut column.
The Tip Sheet is a new feature that tackles a different part of the artist’s life each month. Work, studio, business, resources…. If it has anything to do with art, this is where you’ll find it. The column begins with tips on improving your photography skills.
