Payment Plans

The Basic Payment Plan

The most basic payment plan is the One Third Plan. It is the most common payment plan among portrait artists and it is very simple. I have tailored it to fit both portrait work and the purchase of original paintings.

One third of the price of the portrait is paid when the portrait is ordered and the contract signed. One third is paid upon approval of the preliminary design and the balance is paid upon approval of the final painting and before the painting is delivered.

If you are purchasing an original work of art, we simply divide the total cost by three and you make three monthly payments. When the final payment is received and clears my bank, the painting is delivered. Very simple!

But those 'one thirds' can amount to a pretty good sized chunk of change if you happen to be interested in a larger painting. Think of it as trying to buy a car with one-third payments.

But people don't buy cars with three payments. They buy cars on a monthly payment plan. That's how I bought my last car and will be how I buy my next one.

That's why I offer the "Get That Painting" Plan.

The "Get That Painting" Plan

So what is "Get That Painting"?

It's a payment plan with no interest. This plan enables you to purchase a piece of fine art - reproduction, original, or portrait - and pay for it with payments you can live with. "Get That Painting" payments may be made for as few as four months or as many as twelve months. With this program, you have up to one full year to make full payment.

"Get That Painting" is a time payment layaway plan for artwork. Payments are made on a regular, monthly basis until the painting is paid for. If you are ordering custom work, work on the painting can begin on your painting as soon as the One-Third deposit has been reached or at any time afterward.

You may even wait until the project is completely paid for to begin work. Whatever fits into your working schedule and budget.

Whichever time table you choose, your painting will be shipped upon receipt of the final payment. Full payment may be made at any time and you are also welcome to make larger than scheduled payments.

The plan applies to original artwork and custom portrait work.

As long as payments are made on time, there is no interest. Late or missed payments will be assessed 1% interest on the late payment, with the additional charges added to the final payment.

Other Payment Options

If there is a payment option that is more comfortable for you and your budget, let me know. I am more than happy to work out a schedule of payments and work that will be to our mutual advantage.

Method of Payment

Whatever plan we set up, you have several options for making those payments. Cash and personal checks are always acceptable, but I can also accept payment by many major credit cards through PayPal. All payments through PayPal are guaranteed secure.
