Do you want to learn how to paint with oils but don’t know where—or how to begin?
Just getting started and feeling a bit lost?
Looking to take your oil paintings to the next level?
Oil Painting Course by Email
Whether you want to paint life-like portraits of horses—or other subjects—or want to brush up on landscapes, our one-on-one oil painting courses may be just what you’ve been waiting for.
Each course is designed around what you want to learn. Learn a new technique—my specialties are the umber under painting method and the Flemish method.
Learn how to prep a panel or canvas or learn how to paint a long, flowing mane that makes you want to run your fingers through it.
You can even learn how to paint believable landscape greens.
No matter what you want to learn, you will be able to work at your own pace and on your own time. The course is finished when you’ve successfully completed either one or two oil paintings. Take as much or as little time to complete the course as you need.
You will receive one-on-one tutoring throughout the process. We will observe national holidays and weekends, as well as illnesses and family events, during which times there may be delays in feedback.
You choose what you paint. Submit several photos that you would like to work from (any subject matter) and together we will choose the best photo for you to learn from.
You will receive one-on-one email tutoring, covering your strengths and weaknesses, including helpful tips on making the work stronger. I’ll answer your questions from the drawing phase to putting on the finishing touches. If I don’t already know the answer, I’ll find it for you.
