Week 21, 2007
I have found it steadily more and more difficult to complete one original ACEO landscape painting a day. It is not for lack of time. It is for lack of satisfaction.
I suppose it could be a mark of growth in this art form, but it is also somewhat frustrating.
On most of the ACEOs for the week, I had to wait for them to dry before I could finish them. As a matter-of-fact, two of my favorites for the week were started on Monday and Thursday respectively, but were still wet at the of that week. On Tuesday, I could not cajole, force or persuade the ACEO I was working on to be finished. Nothing worked.
On the bright side, I did cover some new and interesting territory at the end of the week. The last three ACEOs for the week feature a close-up of a sunflower (the Kansas State Flower, by the way), a red holstein heifer and a horse as landscape.
In the end, I completed six for the week. Considering the way things started, that's a respectable accomplishment!
