The Carriage Factory Gallery had a major weekend event at the end of this week. A three-day workshop by colored pencil artist Ann Kullberg that ran Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and an artist reception/memorial dedication Saturday evening. I knew it was unlikely I would get any painting done on Friday or Saturday, so I painted ahead on Monday, finishing two pieces that day.
I also finished two on Thursday and was also able to finish two on Friday, so even though I did not get any new work done on Saturday, I ended the week with eight new ACEO landscape paintings.
Fully half of those paintings were acrylics, allowing me to work more quickly and with less time spent waiting for paint to dry. On Thursday and Friday, everything I worked on was an acrylic. In fact, on Wednesday and Thursday, I prepared nearly 10 cards for paintings and on Thursday evening, I painted skies on all of them! So there are cards ready and waiting for new paintings for next week!
Five ACEO landscapes from previous weeks and some of this week's paintings were put on exhibit through the Carriage Factory Gallery. Five older paintings are in the current exhibit. Another dozen are available through the gallery's gift shop. This marks the first time I have exhibited such a large collection of original miniature landscape paintings.
I hope you enjoy this week's collection of original ACEO landscape paintings!
Thank you for your interest in my ACEO landscapes. I hope you have enjoyed browsing them as much as I have enjoyed making them.
