I am horse owner and artist and have falling in love with color pencil! Now I planning to sell my oil paint so I can buy more color pencil for the colors I don’t have. Thanks for showing me more than frogs to do. I still own my acrylic and watercolor paints just really [not] in to oils that much. But thanks for having this website to show me more., Lucy Eastman, Tennessee.

    • Lucy,

Thank you for reading Horse Painter and for your comment. I had to chuckle at your comment about drawing frogs. I remember the days when working with colored pencils meant having to learn a lot on your own because there weren’t many resources available. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

You might want to check out Ann Kullberg’s website, and especially the kits she has available. You can find subjects to draw, step-by-step, at levels from beginner to advanced. I’ve used them for classes and they are a great tool.

You can also check out my book page if you want to learn more about drawing horses. There are two books currently available on using colored pencils and one of them is free.

Thanks again for reading. I hope you’ll continue to do so because I’m planning a couple of demos that you will find interesting.

      Carrie
